The ACI Code also permits the use of welded wire fabric (with wires located perpendicular to the axis of the member) and spirals. Also, it is permitted to calculate Vc using a more detailed calculation (ACI 318-95, Section 11.3.2). For most designs, it is convenient and conservative to use ACI Equation 11-3. |
